Tonight - Keli Vale performing...Victory Brewing Tastings...YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THIS!!!

Tonight is the first Thursday of a long string of alocholic beverage tastings. We will have Summer Love, HopDevil & Storm King Stout from Victory Brewing Co. samples from 7-9pm. For the first 20 customers, we also have an awesome HopDevil pint glass to give away so don't be late!

To make things even better, Keli Vale will begin her set around 7pm. She has an extensive background in everything from r&b to jazz to classic rock. You'd be surprised at how well she can sing an Anthony Kiedis (Red Hot Chili Peppers) song.

The fun started when we opened, but the freebies and live music doesn't start until 7.

Lou Aiello performing Sunday, June 25

Lou Aiello is back for his second performance at CHOW284!

Two Sundays ago, Lou was a hit with our Sunday dinner crowd. Everybody enjoyed his renditions of all-time great musicians such as Eric Clapton, Frank Sinatra & Peter Gabriel. Some even joined in the fun, whether it be by dancing or singing (big thanks to Johnny Rockets for the special guest appearance). We all had fun and can't wait to see him again.

Lou is set to begin at 7pm, just as the dinner rush finishes up. The timing is perfect for the well-fed to relax with a few drinks and sing along to the classic tunes we all know.

Upcoming Events @ CHOW284

There's a lot going on at CHOW284 and we've worked like dogs over the last few weeks to bring it all together. Well, here it is. A final list of upcoming events at CHOW284 up until August 11.

We have our regular weekly events - Monday Poker Tournaments, Wednesday Quizzo and Sunday Breakfast/Brunch/Jazz Band.

As of right now, we have 3 alcohol samplings on the schedule over the next three Thursdays. Victory Brewing on 6/30, Svedka Vodka on 7/7 and Philadelphia Brewing Company on 7/14. We're working on Boxcar and Weyerbacher next.

On top of that, we have 31 live musical acts over the next 8 weeks! We'll post individual blogs for each artist as they perform.

 

Victory & PBC giving out FREE BEER...now Svedka is giving out FREE MARTINIS. What is this world coming to?!

Svedka is joing Victory Brewing and Philadelphia Brewing in their cause to keep your thirst quenched without a dime being lifted from your own wallet. To make room for Svedka, we've pushed back Philly Brewing a week. You're in for quite a treat the next 3 Thursdays.

June 30 from 7-9pm

Victory Brewing Company will be dropping off Storm King Stout (9.1%), HopDevil Ale (6.7%) and Summer Love (5.2%) for all (at least 21 years of age) to drink! CHOW284's very own Colin & Ryan will be handing out samples and conversing in the fine art of brewing delicious beers.

July 7 from 7-9pm
A representative from Svedka will be here doing their best Coyote Ugly impersonation. Well maybe they won't light anything on fire or spray you in the face with water, but they will be mixing martinis for you all to sample. Free booze. Need I say more?

July 14 from 7-9pm

Jonathan from Philadelphia Brewing Company will be here to hand out samples, answer questions about the brews or brewing process and give PBC souveniers to all those who purchase a beer! Come out and try a Walt Wit (4.5%), Fleur De Lehigh (4.75%), Newbold IPA (7%) or Rowhouse Red (5.75%).

We are swapping out a few bottled beers from our current menu, so your feedback is important to us. If you taste a brew you really like, we'll carry it regularly.

Peter Laviolette gives CHOW284 two thumbs up!

To say Father's Day Breakfast was a success is an understatement. IT WAS AWESOME! We learned 3 things from our first Sunday Breakfast...

1-People love the food.

2-People love the jazz trio which will play every week.

3-Philadelphia Flyers head coach Peter Laviolette wishes he lived closer to Feasterville.

Coach Lavy made a special trek into our establishment this morning because as it turns out, the singer of our young jazz trio is his niece! It was a pleasant surprise to all the no-longer-hungry fathers in attendance as well as our cook, Brandon, who is a die-hard Flyers fan. Coach Lavy let everyone know that the service was fantastic, the food was delicious and that if Vorhees, NJ was a little closer to Feasterville, PA, he'd be sure to pop in on a regular basis.

Although we can't guarantee championship ring-clad celebrities strutting through our door every week, we can guarantee excelent food, service and live music.

Jamie Stem of Doylestown's Sinch is performing tomorrow night!

Sinch has been disturbing the citizens of Doylestown with their powerful sound for well over a decade. They have opened for bands such as Korn, Linkin Park, Chevelle and Rob Zombie. Jamie, the front man, has been kind enough to dazzle us with a solo acoustic set this Friday and we couldn't be more excited. Jamie will turn things down a notch and still rock your face off....acoustically of course.

This video has over 49,000 views. That's alotta speakers blown out.

Fleur de Lehigh is the ideal summer beer. It's a refreshing golden ale with a delicious citrus flavor (and it's only $3 a pint).

General CHOW's Chicken - Get Your Hunan On!

With a little tinkering of an already-tasty recipe, we've come up with the perfect Hunan dish. Since we've unleashed the General CHOW's Chicken to the general public, it has rapidly become one of most popular dishes. Just this past weekend we sold over 40 orders!
